Multi-Sector Nutrition Plan

The goal of the Plan is to improve maternal, adolescent and child nutrition by scaling up essential nutrition-specific and sensitive interventions and creating an enabling environment for nutrition. The plan included targets to reduce overweight among children under 5 years of age from 2.1 per cent in 2016 to 1.4 per cent in 2022. There were no targets for children and adolescents aged 5–19 years.

Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes: National Implementation of the International Code Status Report 2016 (Promotion of Breastfeeding)

The 2016 report provides information on the status of implementing the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and subsequent relevant World Health Assembly resolutions (“the Code”) in and by countries. The report also identifies in which countries they actively promote the benefits of breastfeeding.
