Specialised Obesity Centres (CSOs)

Specialised obesity care centres (CSOs) are responsible for providing multidisciplinary care for people with severe and/or complex obesity. There are 37 CSOs located in mainland France and overseas (Guadeloupe, La Réunion and Martinique) attached to public and private healthcare institutions.

4th National Nutrition and Health Program (PNNS 4): Overseas

This plan adapts the French National Nutrition and Health Program (PNNS) for the specific territorial characteristics of French overseas territories. It aims to improve population health through diet and physical activity, and reduce social inequalities in health. Key actions include promoting sustainable access to healthy food for disadvantaged groups, improving the food and physical environment to be more conducive to health, raising awareness of new nutritional recommendations, and continuing research to improve knowledge.
